Say hello to Chrissy Welch!
She joined the Masterworks Choir in 2006 singing Alto and now sings Soprano. Her favorite piece to sing with the choir is RVW’s “Hodie," which was one of the songs they performed the first time the children joined the choir for a performance.
Chrissy shared, "I was a first year music teacher struggling to adjust to life outside of college. Mr. Rich Thomas encouraged me to join Masterworks and I’m so glad I took his advice! Masterworks keeps me grounded as a music teacher. After a rough day at work, singing great music with friends reminds me why I chose to be a music educator."
Three random facts about Chrissy:
1. She rarely listens to music in the car, as she prefers podcasts or NPR. 🎙
2. She has a 14-year-old mini dachshund 🐶 named Molly.
3. In middle school and high school, she never took a chorus class 🎺 but she was a band kid!
